How billing works

Lanzinha is prepaid and usage-based. You add credit to a wallet, and a running room draws it down for the time it's actually up. There's no subscription, and nothing is charged while you have no room running.

What you'll learn
  • When the meter starts and stops
  • What the wallet reserve is, and why your available balance dips when you open a room
  • How the minimum charge and per-minute price work

When billing starts and stops

Prices are quoted per minute (shown as R$/min), but the meter runs per second under the hood — so you're charged for the time you actually use, not rounded-up minutes.

The clock starts the moment your room is READY — that is, fully booted and ready for you to connect, not while it's still provisioning. It stops when the room stops, whether you stop it yourself, it auto-stops on idle, or it runs out of credit.

note

Because billing only starts at READY, the time spent queuing, provisioning, and booting is free. If a room fails before it ever reaches READY, you aren't charged and any reserved amount is released — see refunds.

The wallet reserve

When you open a room, Lanzinha reserves a slice of your wallet up front to guarantee the room can run for a bit. This is why, right after you start a room, your available balance drops by more than you've actually spent — the difference is held in reserve, not gone.

As the room runs, the meter debits the reserve, and Lanzinha tops the reserve back up from your available balance on each tick. When the room stops, you're charged for the time used and the rest of the reserve is released back to your available balance.

If your balance ever gets too low to cover the next bit of running time, the room auto-stops so you're never billed into a negative balance. You'll get a low-balance notification before that happens (if you've enabled it in your profile).

Minimum charge and increments

  • Minimum charge — every room that reaches READY is billed for at least a small minimum window (a one-minute floor for most games). So a room you open and immediately stop still costs that minimum, not zero.
  • Per-minute price — after the minimum, you pay the room's R$/min rate for the time used, metered per second. The rate depends on the plan (tier) and region you picked — see pricing & plans and regions.
tip

Empty rooms stop themselves. If everyone leaves, the room idles and auto-stops after a short grace period, so you don't pay for an empty server. Want it to stay up anyway (for example, to keep a world loaded between friends joining)? Turn on keep-alive when you open the room — just remember it keeps billing until you stop it or the balance runs low.

Every charge is on the record

Each reserve, debit, release, top-up, and refund is written to your wallet statement as a separate line, so you can always see exactly where your credit went. See your wallet & statement.
