Exporting a world

Your worlds live safely on Lanzinha, but you can also keep your own copy. Exporting downloads a full archive of your world that you can store anywhere — and re-import later if you ever want to.

What you'll learn
  • How to download a world archive
  • When export is available (and when it isn't)
  • What you can do with the file afterward

How to export

  1. Go to Worlds.
  2. On the world's card, click the download icon.
  3. Lanzinha prepares a secure, time-limited download link and your browser saves the archive automatically.

The file is a .tar.zst archive of your world's latest snapshot. You can re-import it later through the import flow — the formats line up exactly.

tip

Exporting is a great habit before anything risky — a big build session, a rollback, or a delete. It costs nothing and gives you a copy you fully control.

When export is available

Export only works when both of these are true:

ConditionWhy
The world has a saved snapshotThere has to be something to download — a brand-new blank world you've never played hasn't snapshotted yet.
No room is running against itA world is locked while a room uses it. Stop the room first, then export.

If the download icon is unavailable, it's almost always one of these — open a room and stop it to create a snapshot, or stop the running room to unlock the world.

What's in the archive

The export contains your world's save data — the same thing a snapshot captures (for Minecraft, your Overworld, Nether, and End). Room settings like difficulty, whitelist, or a TeamSpeak password aren't in the file; those are chosen per room.

note

The download link is time-limited for your security. If it expires before the download finishes, just click the download icon again to get a fresh one.

After exporting

  • Keep it as a backup somewhere of your own.
  • Re-import it anytime through import — into the same account or a different one.
  • It's a clean copy, so it's also the safest thing to fall back on if a rollback doesn't go the way you hoped.
