Deleting a world

Done with a world for good? Deleting it removes the world and all of its snapshots, and frees up the storage it was using. This is permanent — there's no undo — so Lanzinha asks you to confirm carefully.

What you'll learn
  • Exactly what gets deleted
  • The typed-confirmation step
  • When you can't delete (and how to back up first)

What gets deleted

Deleting a world erases:

  • The world's record on Lanzinha.
  • Every snapshot of it, including the latest one.
  • The storage it occupied, which returns to your account's quota.
warning

This can't be undone. Once a world and its snapshots are deleted, they're gone — Lanzinha can't recover them. If there's anything you might want later, export it first.

How to delete

  1. Go to Worlds.
  2. On the world's card, click the trash icon.
  3. A confirmation modal opens explaining the action is permanent.
  4. Type the world's exact name to confirm — this unlocks the Delete permanently button.
  5. Confirm, and the world and its snapshots are removed.

The typed-name step is deliberate: it makes it hard to delete the wrong world by a stray click.

When you can't delete

You can't delete a world while a room is running against it — the world is locked by the active session. The trash icon won't be available until you stop the room.

Stop the running room first, then come back and delete.

Back up before you delete

If you're deleting just to free space but might want the world again someday:

  1. Export the world first to download a copy you keep.
  2. Then delete it to reclaim the storage.
  3. Re-import the archive later if you ever come back to it.
tip

Deleting worlds you've moved on from is the quickest way to free storage when your quota gauge is filling up.
