Opening a room
Opening a room is the main thing you do on Lanzinha. You choose a game, pick where it runs and how big it is, set a few game-specific options, and hit Open room. Your server boots in about 45 seconds and you get an address to share with friends.
- How to pick a game family and version
- Where region and plan fit in (and where to read more)
- That each game has its own room settings
Pick a game
The first step is choosing a game from the game-family picker:
| Family | What it is | World-backed? |
|---|---|---|
| Minecraft | Minecraft Java (Paper) | Yes |
| Counter-Strike | CS 1.6 and CS2 | No |
| TeamSpeak | TeamSpeak 3 voice server | Yes (its database persists) |
| Servidor personalizado | Custom server | Yes |
Families with more than one version — Counter-Strike (CS 1.6 / CS2) — show a small set of chips so you can pick the exact version. Families with a single version skip that step.
World-backed games (Minecraft, TeamSpeak, custom) remember their state between sessions, so you also pick a world to run. Counter-Strike rooms are stateless — there's no world to choose, and nothing is saved between rounds. See Supported games for the full catalog.
Pick a region
Next, choose the region where the server runs — the data center your room lives in. Region affects ping for your players and the per-minute price. Lanzinha defaults to São Paulo and recommends the location closest to you. The full how-to, including the ping and price hints, is in Choosing a server region.
Pick a plan
Then pick a plan (tier). Plans are shown as cards with the machine you get, a suggested player count, and the per-minute price for the region you chose. Pick the size that matches how many friends will join. See Choosing a plan for how plans map to player counts.
Set game-specific options
Each game family then shows its own settings panel:
- Minecraft — difficulty, game mode, server name (MOTD), online-mode, and a whitelist. See Minecraft servers.
- Counter-Strike — match mode, starting map, slots, bots (CS2), a GSLT token (CS2), and a VAC toggle (CS 1.6).
- TeamSpeak — room name, an optional password, slots, a welcome message, and channels.
There's also a Keep room open toggle under Session options on every game. It keeps the room running even when it's empty — see Keeping a room open before you flip it on, because it changes how billing stops.
Open the room
When you hit Open room, the page switches to a live boot view with a step-by-step progress bar. Keep the tab open — it'll be ready right there. When it reaches Ready, you're sent to the room's page where the connect address lives.
