Changing your password

You change your sign-in password right from your Profile page — no need to sign out first.

What you'll learn
  • How to change your password while signed in
  • What happens if you signed up with Google
  • What to do if you've forgotten your password entirely

Change it from your profile

On the Profile page there's a password section. To set a new password you'll enter:

  1. Your current password.
  2. Your new password (at least 6 characters).
  3. The new password again, to confirm it.

Hit save and you'll see a Password updated confirmation. If the new password is too short, doesn't match the confirmation, or is the same as your current one, Lanzinha tells you exactly what to fix.

tip

Pick something you don't reuse anywhere else. A password manager makes a long, unique password painless — and Lanzinha is happy to accept it.

If you signed in with Google

If your account uses Sign in with Google, your password lives with Google, not Lanzinha. In that case the Profile page guides you through a Google confirmation flow instead of asking for a current password.

Forgot your password?

If you can't sign in at all, you don't need this page — use the Forgot my password link on the sign-in screen instead. You'll get an email with a reset link that:

  • is valid for one hour, and
  • works only once.

Open the link and choose a new password. For your privacy, the reset request always says the email was sent if the address is registered, so it never reveals whether an account exists.

warning

Reset links expire after an hour and can't be reused. If yours has expired, just request a new one from the sign-in screen.
